Repeal 12 VAC 5-412

To attempt the restriction of abortion services to Virginia's women by adding unnecessary restrictions is underhanded and will not be tolerated. If true concern for the health of women was in place, facilities such as Planned Parenthood would be expanded instead of restricted. Has everyone forgotten the dirty secrets of the past? Abortions have been performed for thousands of years. My 89-year-old mother-in-law, a kind-hearted Christian woman, tells of her years at Madison College (now JMU) in the early 1940s and the problems when young women felt like there were no available options other than to take care of 'things' themselves. We do not need to go back in time, to a place where infections or death were the only viable options. I love children but want children to be brought into this world with love and to be cared for by a parent or parents who truly want them and will do what is necessary to raise them into good citizens.
