I urge the Board of Health to rescind these politically-motivated regulations and replace them with regulations that reflect evidence-based medicine. Patient safety is important in every medical setting, and regulations should reflect actual medical need rather than the goal of eliminating access to safe abortion. In addition, I urge the Board of Health to ensure strict patient privacy standards and to include severe sanctions for any public or private employee who violates patient or doctor privacy.
