The unfunded mandate for 12 hours of additional educator training are excessive and unneeded.  In addition there are very  limited offerings available for the Instrtuctors to meet this requirement.  Instructors, many of which are volunteers have very limited support to even try and attain this rediculous requirement.  What is more rediculous is the requirement for each instructor to retest every time they recertify.  No other medical profession needs to do this, so why are you intent on making the education process in Virginia unbearable for those who are training the next generation of EMS providers.

I think this UNFUNDED mandate is unneccesary and finacially crippling to the EMS education community.
