Each year the VAOEMS introduces new regulation recommendations that consistently place more burdens on those of us who have taught EMS programs within the Commonwealth for years. The new recommendations make it harder and harder for EMS Educators to fulfill their obligations for their employer as well as the Office of EMS. It appears that the Office has a problem with the delivery of service from the instructors by placing additional requirements on them. If we continue to move in this direction, the only way we can train new employees/volunteers will be through the community college system, which in my opinion is detrimental to the Commonwealth.
