This action is exempt from the executive branch review process.
Action:
These regulations increase the limiting age for dependent children to age 26, while removing any residency or employee financial support requirements currently required by the plan.
 
General Information
Action Summary These amendments will increase the limiting age of adult dependent children from age 23 to age 26. Additionally, they remove any residency and employee financial support requirements that currently apply to otherwise eligible adult children. These provisions will go into effect the first day of the plan years following September 23, 2010. Thus, for the TLC plans the effective date will be October 1, 2010 for some school groups, and July 1 2010 for the remainder of the TLC plans. The effective date will be July 1, 2011 for the health benefits plan for state employees.
