Hypocrisy abounds in land use law opinion

This past weekend I was in Crozet and heard about the recently defeated measure to restrict homebuilding wherein the access to buildable lots would cross areas of 25% slopes.  This ordinance would have rendered much of their land unuseable, so they fought it all the way.  I asked them what they thought of the proposed stormwater laws that would restrict commercial development and they were very much in support.

Its funny how conservation is only important if it negatively affects someone else's rights, not yours. I've seen this so many times in my 30 years in the business of selling real estate.

Let's be reasonable when distributing pain. The builders have proposed a rationale plan that works better than the Governor's plan to achieve all of the objectives.
