Reject proposed storm-water regs - unintended consequences will be devastating to the environment

DCR proposed regs aimed reducing pollutant runoff will do far more harm than good to the environment.  There are some nasty unintended consequences here that we should be worried about.

If these regs are passed, the costs to land development projects will be mitigated by opting for lower-density land development in green areas over the very types of projects we should be incentivizing: high-density development or redevelopment.   These proposed regs will prevent the protecting of green space, the limiting of unnecessarily long-length infrastructure needs and the redevelopment of inner cities.

Maybe these new regs should be given a short name – something like “The Urban Sprawl Incentive Initiative”.
