As a Vice President and Chief Nurse Officer in VA, I support the change in CNS regulatory changes submitted by Linda Thurby-Hay, CNS.   The Clinical Nurse Specialist is an Advanced Nurse Practitioner who influences not only a specific, patient population needs, but nursing practice and organizational processes.  Thier role is extremely valuable and will be instrumental in healthcare transformation moving forward from a community  and acute care practicie perspective.
