Conversion therapy seeks to limit normal variations in affectional or sexual orientation or gender identity. There is no emprical basis that these attempts work. There is high likelihood that clients will be harmed by conversion therapy. The American Counselign Association says, "The American Counseling Association opposes conversion therapy because it does not work, can cause harm, and violates our Code of Ethics." Please ban this practice.
