Comment on health regulations

Is an abortion a medical procedure or not? If it is, then it needs to be governed by the exact same rules and regulations as any other procedure. No special exemptions just because regulations are considered an infringement on a women’s right to choose. No medical procedure is without risk. Are those advocating to allow softer standards seeking these changes to improve safety and outcomes or could there be a monetary motive? This decision rests in your hands. It is political. You can’t win. No wisdom of Solomon can help you. Whatever you decide will be decried by one side or the other so I implore you to act independently in the best interest of protecting women and maintaining consistency in healthcare regulations. A medical procedure is a medical procedure and a medical facility is a medical facility. A woman has been given the right to choose but you have the authoriy to guarantee her safety. Please do not discount that safety. Please do not allow special exemptions for abortion clinics. Please do not weaken the current standards. Please revisit any prior decisions that have done so.

Thank you and may God himself bless your deliberations.
