Safety Must be Primary Concern at all Health facilities

It is essential that ALL health clinics in the Commonweath must be regulated and maintained for citizens' safety and benefit, this holds true for Healthcare facilities where abortions are performed as well.   Abortion centers must adhere to regulatory standards of healthcare facilities - deficiencies at ALL healthcare facilities must be rectified and all clinics must  be independently inspected.

Please bring Healthcare facilities to the same standards - abortion is an outpatient surgical procedure and should be regulated as such.  Virginia women deserve this level of cared.  Inspections must be completed annually, facilities must meet minimum physical standards such as those which pertain to the safe and efficient movement of patients in an emergency situation, and granting of permanent variances by the Commissioner must stop.

Finally, establishment of minimum procedure requirements must be agreed upon - with the health of the fetus and mother at the fore.   By example, correcting the definition of first trimester as the first twelve weeks of conception, vice 13 weeks plus 6 days after last menses and ensuring the removal of all fetal body parts from the female patient upon the performance of an abortion.

Please provide oversight that will ensure VA women have access to SAFE healthcare.
