Maintain Regulations

Abortion center regulations are essential for the health and safety of Virginia women and must not be weakened.

It is imperative to reinstste all the the health and safety measures the Board watered down during its lat amendment process.

All Office of Licensure and Certification inspections shoule be required in order to verify that ultrasounds have been performed at least 24 hours prior to every abortion performed.

Inspections of abortion facilities should be annual.  The Commissioner must not be free to grant permanent variances

The first trimester should be the first twelve weeks, period.

The department should be able to deny, suspend, or revoke the license to operate an abortion facility for violatine "any provision of Article 1 (32.2-123 et seq.) of Chapter 5 of Title 32.1.

Abortion facilities should be required to remove all of the fetal body parts from inside of the female patient upon the performance of an abortion.

Abortion facilities MUST report to OLC any incidents reported to the malpractive insurance carrier.

Reinstate the reasonable design and construction standards that provided for things such as hallway wide enough to carry patients out on stretchers in cases of emergency.
