If we really want to decrease abortion, birth control should be free to all women and family life education should be accurate and early in the schools, churches and at home.  As members of the Board of Health, you know that abortion will not go away no matter what restrictions are placed.  It will just go underground and more women will die.  Please use science and the evidence in making decisions about clinics.  You know that pregnancy is more dangerous than abortion for women. You know that Planned Parenthood is the largest provider of women's health screenings and affordable birth control.  As a physician who values all life, I want to see the need for abortion to disappear.  The arguments we are having now are not getting the job done.  Make birth control free and teach your kids how not to have an unplanned pregnancy.
