No dry needling for under trained therapists

Dry needling is acupuncture. There is extensive training involved in learning how to safely and effectively practice acupuncture. Physical therapists are an integral part of rehabilitation but they are not adequately trained to insert needles into patients not to mention the complete lack of understanding behind using acupuncture as a therapy.  The idea of allowing undertrained PTs to employ a technique that requires years of training is putting patients at risk.
