Of course Dry needle (a form of accupuncture) works for many conditions, therefore it should be..

There is no disagreement that Dry needle (a form of acupuncture) works for many physiological dysfunctions to relieve suffering. The issue is it should be performed by trained acupuncturists.

If PT wants to do dry needle (acupuncture), they need to go through the neccessary training granted by the acpuncture Board.

There are many strategies that can alleviate suffering, the passing on of accupuncture as a discipline for so many generations is to keep this helpful and sometimes life saving discipline alive for current and future generations. For the sake of public safety and for the integrity of the acupuncture profession, we need to follow the law to achieve our grand goals. For the patients who support PT for dry needle, please be informed: The legal scope of PT practice does not include invasive techniques such as dry needle. If PT can be allowed to do accupuncture, what stop PT from giving injections using syringe? Of course this is just an example. Nonetheless, there is a good reason for the legal boundary of each profession to be respected.  We hope PT respect the professional scope of acupuncturists  and also respect their own professional boundaries.
