Dry needling is beneficial

I have had dry needling several times from my therapist.  It works extremely well for me in removing the "tightness" of under used muscles.  I have had both a hip and knee replaced.  This resulted in an imbalance, side to side, in muscles surrounding the replaced joint.  Manual therapy to loosen the affected muscles was quite uncomfortable and time consuming.  Dry needle stimulation freed up these " bound up" muscles quickly.  I feel it is a valuable and time saving treatment that provides quick and long lasting results when used along with manual therapy and exercise regimes.
