Physical Therapists are great at dry needling!

I have received both acupuncture and physical therapy with use of dry needling. I must say that the two techniques are mutually exclusive despite the similar needles used. I am a big fan in support of use of dry needling by licensed physical therapists. My therapist holds a doctorate degree and is one of the most well-read and intelligent people that I have seen in regards to Anatomy, muscle use and dysfunction, and methods to promote healing naturally. I am not against acupuncture and may continue to use that as well, but I am a big fan of my physical therapist being able to use needles during our treatments together. It has proven to be helpful Emma and my doctor is in support of its use as well. I sure hope that the state of Virginia does the right thing and continues to support their Highly Educated medical professionals, specifically physical therapists and their use of dry needling.
