I did 8 months of PT during my training for some races and, while I was hesitant to do dry needling at first, I was a huge fan after the first round. Dry needling done by my capable, professional PTs at Solutions Physical Therapy was better able to address my intramuscular problems-- and it helped my muscles much more precisely-- than any handson techniques. I was completely satisfied with their sterilization methods and will forever be grateful for dry needling. I think it is very worthwhile and very effective for many types of healing. The question shouldn't be whether or not to allow it, it should be only be making sure it's done by professionals.
