Dry needling is within the scope of practice for a trained PT.  This procedure is as safe as the person performing it. We need to stop giving away our professional skills to every other health care professional, pretty soon we will be a non-existent profession. If you as a PT don't feel comfortable, simply don't practice it. Look at Tennessee and Arizona, they have excellent practice acts.
