Physical Therapist should have the right to dry needle if they get certified in it. Acupuncture is different than dry needling in the effects it produces. PT's dry needle to help activate the muscle and to help get rid of pain it is in their scope of practice in Virginia and I have personally seen people get helped by it and would love to learn to do it someday.
