Dry needling uses the same needles, same insertion techniques, and treats the same conditions as acupuncture.  PTs should be required to receive the same training and certification as Acupunturists.  Acupuncturists would not practice physical therapy without appropriate training...the same guidelines should apply to Physical Therapists who want to practice "dry needling".
