Every field has their own profession and specialty. Licensed acupuncturist have learned thousands years of oriental medicines and acupuncture, specifically needles with all surrounding knowledges. They have studied in a class rooms and trained thousands hours in clinics. Acupuncture is getting popular because well trained acupuncturists have helped the public health for many decades and recognized. I never understand why good PT try to penetrate patient's skin with needle that is not even their specialty. I never go to PT for my allergies but well trained acupuncturist!
