Trigger Point Dry Needling

As a result of lifelong sports participation and several surgeries that have required lengthy recoveries, I've experienced numerous periods of chronic pain. During the last three decades, I've been treated by both Physical Therapists and Acupuncturists. It is my belief, that both types of practitioners were qualified and well trained in order to provide me with the appropriate intervention required for recovery.

During my physical therapy experience, Trigger Point Dry Needling (TDN) was used for muscular and tissue pain management and was extremely successful. Concurrently, my Acupuncturist provided an effective and much more comprehensive approach to my general overall health. It is my opinion that the two techniques are used for separate purposes. Whichever application is used for treatment, qualifications and training are essential for success.

In summary, I fully support the use of TDN by well trained and highly qualified Physical Therapists in the prevention and recovery process.
