Dry needling ( Trigger point acupuncture or Ashi point acupuncture) is an old type Chinese acupuncture. Chinese Doctor use dry needling acpuncture over thousand years already. Now acupuncturist use dry needling every day to treat musclar and nurve pain,PT want take advantage from acupuncture, PT want to practice Trigger point acupuncture ( dry needling ) just by chang the name, but not want to get adequate training and not want to take  test from a third party to show them whether or not competence.

According their logical, Phsical therapists have exceptional understandof Neurmusculoskeletal antormy of core training, than allow them to trigger point acupuncture ( dry needling) without adquate training and show to third party whether or not competence. Later, may they ask board of management to allow them to do surgery on patient for meurmusculoskeletal problems by just chang name like "Dry knifing" that definitively distinct and seperate from surgery , did you allow them to do that ?
