In the interest of patient safety and scope of practice, acupuncturist without a healthcare license ID doctor, chiropractor, physical therapist, should not be allowed to become certified to perform dry needling. Due to the inherent response associated related to anatomy it is imperative that  any clinician performing such technique should hold a bachelors degree or higher and a healthcare/medical license.
