Dry Needle is Acupuncture ; physical therapists are NOT Acupuncturist's.

Dry needling is Acupuncture . Physical therapists should simply not be allowed to practice Acupuncture if they are not licensed for it . Acupuncture is a part of traditional Chinese medicine and thereby requires the proper schooling and training for it ; learning the proper Acu points is essential in this practice and could otherwise harm patients if the needles are not placed correctly . Inserting needles at any random place where patients feel pain is not the correct way to treat . Do not let specialists perform Acupuncture without an Acupuncture License !!
