No on dry needling! A Rose by any other name...

It’s quite amazing to me that there are those who would consider placing my physical wellbeing in the hands of someone with hours of training vs thousands of hours.  My acupuncturist has described her training to me as thousands of hours spread between many facets of the discipline to enable her to provide a treatment regimen for my whole body when she performs the needling.  To take one, and only one, portion of it and place it in the hands of someone outside the envelop of acupuncture seems scary at best and downright irresponsible at worst.  A Rose by any other name is still a Rose.  Call it dry needling all you like, you would never see me at a PT for acupuncture any more than I would go to my acupuncturist to have my car tuned.
