Strongly against Dry Needling

The so-called Dry Needling is nothing but a part of acupuncture for the needling part. It is so called, differently from acupuncture, purely for the purpose of stealing fruits from acupuncture and undercutting the regulations and required education and trainings. It is not only unethical but also potentially detrimental to patients. It is well known among the acupuncture community that any needling or even pressing on any part of human body can change the flows of  energy and fluids, which can be either helpful or harmful (even detrimental) to a patient's health and illness recovery depending on how the stimulation is applied and the illness is diagnosed. One further critical point here is that the damages can be invisible anatomically and unnoticeably gradual. This is why the practice of acupuncture needs a lot more education and training beyond needling itself. Dry needling is obviously trying to cut off lots of critical corners and can result in harms to patients.
