Dry needling is a procedure using acupuncture needle to piece through the skin to munipulate the trigger points, an invasive procedure. It is a form of acupuncture. This type of invasive practice is not in PT's scope of practice.  Some weekend training to extend PT's beyond its professional practice scope is dangerous to the public. Just like to grant permit to a barber to do operation on people is out of question. Therefore, I oppose any permission to allow PTs to practice Dry Needling.
