Please oppose dry needling by PTs

Using an acupuncture needle to insert into a patient is by definition acupuncture which requires extensive training in anatomy, physiology, as well as the philosophy of Chinese medicine to truly benefit our patients. When poor or lacking regulations exsist we leave ourselves and our patients wide open for injury and insult.

In making your decision I ask that you please consider the whole picture including the outcome and future health of our patients.

To quote the American Medical Association:

"Lax regulation and nonexistent standards surround this invasive practice. For patients' safety, practitioners should meet standards required for licensed acupuncturists and physicians," AMA Board Member Russell W. H. Kridel, M.D.

Thank you,

Emily Guevara, L.Ac.
