In favor of Dry Needling by Licensed PT

I have been a patient of dry needling for a few years.  Prior to dry needling, I had steriod injections, botox injections, strengthening from physical therapy and several strong pain medications and muscle relaxants prescribed for treatment of my trigger points.  I have found the most effective treatment for my condition is dry needling.  I have weeks of relief following an appointment, which is the best I have had to date.  I only have to take pain medication occassionally, which is one of the biggest benefits of my dry needling.   My therapist has provided so much knowledge and education on my condition and has been the only one to get me to this point of comfort.  I trust him fully with my care and management and find his understanding on the condition and treatment to be critical to my care.   In addition, I have a fear of needles, but I choose dry needling, because the relief I get from it profusely outweighs the initial fear I had.
