PT's should be allowed to utilize dry needling in the clinic. I have seen it work wonders for many patients. That said, any PT practicing dry needling should be required to attend a certification course. Also, any patient recieving dry needling should have to sign a consent form that says they are willing to allow the PT to perform dry needling and understand all possible side effects. PT's should also be allowed to connect electrical stimulation to the needles to maximize the effect of dry needling.
