Fully in support of dry needling

My husband is a former Marine and a disabled vet who has lived with pain for the majority of his life.  The dry needling procedure through the office where he receives physical therapy has been the only thing to give him relief from his back, neck and shoulder pain.  And the individual who performs the dry needling is well qualified to render this service.  In reading through many of the comments here, I notice that the majority of those opposed to dry needling are directly involved with the practice of accupuncture.  This begs the question, is their reason for opposition strictly monetary gain?  Probably so.  And that is very wrong.  If something works for someone, it should be made readily available to them.  In this case, accupunture most definitey did NOT work for my husband and actually made his symptoms worse.  To place restrictions on the practice of dry needling will be a major disservice to all of those for whom it works.

Sincerely,

Sonya Weaver
