Dry needling is so much more than acupuncture

As a patient of a highly skilled dry needle PT, the relief and success I have experienced is nothing short of miraculous. I educated myself as to the high standards of training for dry needle PT before I became a patient.  The training necessary to perform dry needling is thorough and specialized.

To demand that dry needle PTs have to have additional regulations and training is a huge overreach.  When the training standards have not at all  been proven inadequate, this is an attempt to add undue burdens thru the use a "psuedo" claim of protecting patient care.  Acupuncture is not in any way comparable to dry needle therapy.  The methods and goals of dry needle therapy are entirely different from acupuncture.

If concern for patient care is so important, we need to protect the current regulations so as not to endanger the continuance of that critical care.
