Dry needling is one type of acupuncture which has been used by licenced acupuncturist for many years. It is in acupuncture practice scope. Licenced acupuncturist requires 3 to 5 years full time training. PT practice scope doesn't including acupuncture since they received no training or with very little trainning of acupuncture. If PT willing to practice acupuncture,should get acupuncture licence.
