The proposed cap of 2 units per day will greatly effect how we are able to meet clients needs in certain situations.While utilizing 5 hr/3 unit days are frequently the need still remains. The thought is that the individuals we provide skills training to will start to think "no one cares if I'm going through a crisis because if it isn't handled in 3 hours I'm left all alone." We all know that during a crisis leaving a client without the crisis resolved will make matters worst. This could potentially cause a client to become hospitalized when "we" the mental health professionals could have helped avoid this.
