Clinician may be working with a client for a 3 hour session and client may experience heightened symptoms and it is determined the client should be assessed at the hospital.  Clinician providing services for a client in the emergency room may need more than 5 hours to reduce any heightened symptoms such as anxiety around the situation and to assist client with understanding their mental health needs.  The clinician may have to practice how the client will interact with the doctor/specialist and  provide on-the-spot training and support as they may not have any support from family or friends.
