Crisis Intervention

I cannot connect the dots on how the new proposed changes in crisis intervention regulations is good for the consumers who need this important service.  When a consumer is in crisis, the prime goal should be to take care of the consumer in crisis, not completing SSPI evaluations every seven days when the information collected is likely not going to change within that time frame.  It is very likely the consumer would not sit through this lengthy process and thus their crisis becomes more intense and quite possibly would lead to hospitalization since the crisis was not able to be addressed in the least restrictive manner.  We are health care professionals and restrictions like these hinder the services we are able to provide to consumers in need.  Where is the concern for the consumer in this process?
