I am opppsed to the practice of "Dry Needling" by PTs. So-called "dry needling" IS acupuncture and should be practiced by licensed acupuncturists who have devoted 3-4 years to the study of safety in needling methods. A weekend course for PTs in needling is VERY DANGEROUS for patients and hurts the reputation of acupuncture.

Dry needling is not a manual therapy technique. Dry needling is acupuncture. Acupuncture should be regulated and performed by licensed acupuncturists.
