Support Dry Needling

I was in extreme pain in my neck a few years ago and went to see my PT and he dry needled my neck and within an hour I walked out of the office pain free and have been since then. I strongly believe in dry needling and would rather try that before taking pain meds. I know it's not for everyone and I believe it depends on the severity and problem that the person is having, but at least as a patient I have that option right now. I recently have experienced severe lower back and hip pain and discomfort and I am doing the dry needling again, mostly for my hip and it had definitely given me relief from the extreme pain I originally had in the beginning. It's not working as fast as the neck dry needling, but again it's worth paying out of pocket for the relief I have received over the last month. I have a pain management doctor and he has no problem with writing me a prescription to have it done, I fact he just gave me another 3 months to do so, along with some PT. I strongly believe in dry needling and will continue to have it done as long as I can and its available to me. Please look at this as a patient's privilege. There are a lot of things done in the medical field that have risks and to me this is no different.  this text and enter your comments here. You are limited to approximately 3000 words.
