Oppose Dry Needling by PTs

I am a Acupuncture Physician in Florida  and I have been practicing Acupuncture for over 20 years.  I am wriintg to object the "Dry Needling" by Physical Therapist without proper training. "Dry Needling" is a form of Acupunture and has been practiced for many many years by physicians in China and over all the world. In US, even MDs with many years medical training still need 300 hour course specific to Acupuncture, in order to be certified by American Board of Medical Acupuncture. It is irresponsible, illegal, and not ethical to practice Acupuncture with same acupuncture needls while calling it "Dry Needling". It is not only illegal to bypass the Acupuncture law to practice Acupuncture, but also creating a double standards within the professionals and causing public safety issues.
