Reciprocity

I live in northeast North Carolina and travel frequently into Virginia. I was there today to see my doctor and because I am legally permitted by virtue of reciprocity between NC and VA I carried my firearm concealed, as is my right.  I prefer to carry concealed for obvious reasons. Beginning Feb 1 I'll be forced by the change in Virginia's law to carry my firearm openly.  I'm uncomfortable with that, as I'm sure others will be as well. But you've given me no other choice, unless you expect me to give up my 2nd amendment right.  That I will not do.
