I have had dry needling done by a PT and it really helped me. Before you go deciding on whether or not a physical therapist can perform these procedures, why don't you look into their credentials on this because PTs performing these are to have many hours of training. I know my PT has had that, or try to see one who has determined a patient can benefit from theim having it done and observe or try to have it done (if you have a condition that would require therapy, of course)? I know government regulations are good from some things, but why do you think this is something to take away from TRAINED Physical Therapists? Sometimes, you guys do more harm than good. I definitely wouldn't want an acupunturist to do this on me. I'd rather have it done by a physical therapist who has thousands of hours of training in anatomy, physiological and clinical knowledge of TDN than an acupunturist who only has a few hundred hours of training.
