PT for Dry Needling

Dry needling had been an amazing tool for me as a physical therapist. I have dealt with a lot of patients suffering from chronic pain who have benefited greatly from dry needling. I have cured patients with chronic daily headaches in a single treatment on multiple occasions.

It's important to remember that dry needling is only a tool, it does not define a profession. Physical therapists do not claim to be accupuncturists or practicing accupuncture. No profession can claim sole ownership of a technique of treatment. Dry needling and accupuncture are based on very different philosophies and use techiques that are so vastly different, they shouldnt even be in the same category of treatment. Its like saying a barber is infringing on a tailor's business because he also uses scissors.
