State Agency Gun Ban

Banning guns in these places will simply make them targets. Those looking to inflict harm choose the locations they do in order to hurt the greatest number of people. This ban punishes those looking to defend themselves, without providing any protections to the folks working in or frequenting these locations. If McAuliffe could show evidence of a need for this ban (such as frequent incidents of firearm crime in state agency buildings) then I could see a reason for concern. However there are no cases of this happening, so there is no problem, and therefore his actions are an unjustifiable use of authority.

McAuliffe should concern himself more with upholding the laws and rights of Virginians, and less with repaying Bloomberg for campaign donations. Last time I checked Bloomberg wasn't a Virginian, and should keep his business out of our state.
