Physical therapists should absolutely have the right to perform dry needling.  No one else is more educated regarding the musculoskeletal system and anatomy.  This is the emphasis of our training, unlike physicians or other health care professionals.  Numerous studies support the effectiveness and more importantly the safety of dry needling.  This is crucial for helping patients get better!
