support for dry needling by physical therapists

I must agree that the argument set forth by the acupuncturists is based on lack of proper education. PT's use of dry needling is narrow is scope, directed solely for the treatment of muscle pain and muscle triggerpoints. There is no attempt by the PT to use this technique in treatment of the cause of any systemic disease. There is no use of a meridian map as used in acupuncture. Physical therapists are by far the most educated in muscular anatomy, function, and treatment. Dry needling adds to the PT's ability to treat dysfunction in the muscular system.
