Support for Dry Needling by PTs

Physical Therapists are highly educated and trained medical professionals who graduate from accredited programs.  Physical Therapists specialize in treating Neurological, Muscular and Skeletal systems via exercise, manual techniques and modalities such as Dry Needling.  Physical Therapists receive 54 additional hours of training to obtain a certification to practice Dry Needling safely and effectively.

Dry needling is NOT acupuncture.  Physical Therapists must locate a trigger point and place the needle directly into the hyperirritable spot in the taut band of muscle.  Only ONE needle is used at a time to produce immediate relief of pain and restore normal physiology to the muscle.

Please support Physical Therapists using Dry Needling as an effective and safe treatment approach!
