Let's not mince words. Physical Therapists are inserting acupuncture needles into patients and calling it "Dry Needling" in order to market a skillset for which they are not fully trained. There's no reason why a physical therapist couldn't refer their patient to an acupuncturist who has been board certified and has at least a couple thousand hours worth of training to perform this technique.
