Physical therapists should not be allowed to perform "dry needling" with 54 hours of training.  This amount of training is completely inadequate for acupuncture.

Dry needling is acupuncture under Virginia law.  There is no basis for allowing PTs to practice acupuncture with only a small percentage of training of acupuncturists or medical doctors.

Dry needling is outside of the scope of practice of PTs and is therefore illegal in Virginia?.
